The Gardener/Maintenance Worker will assist and receive his daily work instructions from the Senior Gardener/Maintenance Worker. Daily responsibilities may include:
Monitoring the health of all plants and greenscapes Watering plants Trimming trees and shrubs Fertilizing and cutting the grass Weeding gardens Keeping green spaces, streets, common parking areas and walkways clear of debris and litter Emptying garbage receptacles Cleaning the bathrooms Wiping down and cleaning pool and patio furniture Cleaning the swimming pool Checking the pH and chlorine levels of the swimming pool and adding required chemicals to ensure proper levels are maintained Perform basic tasks including painting and filling crevices Manage maintenance repairs Perform minor repairs on machinery, equipment or appliances Detect and report the need for major maintenance repairs Perform minor plumbing, electrical and woodworking repairs Correct and/or report any safety deficiencies or hazards to their supervisor Accomplish other duties as directed by competent authority
